Privacy Policy

In short: Shuli works on your phone without an account. If you create an account, a private copy of your data is stored so it can sync across your devices. AI features are optional and off by default. We never sell your data. The free app may show a banner ad; your sessions are not sent to ad networks.

1. Who we are

Shuli (“the app”) is published by ByLiShi in Israel. Contact: shuli@bylishi.com.

2. Data stored on your device

Your activity sessions, timers, checklists, templates, notes in the Later inbox and your settings are stored locally on your phone. You can export or erase this data at any time in Settings › Privacy & data.

3. Account and cloud backup (optional)

If you create an account (email, Google or Apple), we store your account identifier and a copy of your sessions, templates, Later items and preferences in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore, EU region “eur3”), accessible only to your account. We do not receive your Google or Apple password. You can turn cloud backup off, and deleting your account permanently deletes this data.

4. AI features (optional, off by default)

Only when you turn AI on, the text you type for a specific request (for example “I’m cooking pasta, remind me in 10 minutes”), the activity type, your app language and preferred tone are sent through our server to Google’s Gemini API to produce a suggestion. We do not send your history, notes or health information. Requests are processed to answer you; we store only counts and technical usage figures (no request text) to enforce fair-use limits. AI output is not used as a source of truth for timers or safety.

5. Analytics and crash reports

Anonymous usage statistics are off by default and only collected if you opt in. Crash reports contain technical error information and never include what you typed. Neither is used for advertising. You can change both in Settings › Privacy & data.

6. Notifications and microphone

Reminders are scheduled locally on your phone. Voice input uses your phone’s speech recognition only while you tap to speak; Shuli does not record or keep audio.

7. Advertising

The free app may show a banner at the bottom of the main screens through Unity LevelPlay. Ad partners include Meta Audience Network and ironSource. They may receive an advertising identifier (on iPhone, only if you allow tracking; on Android, the advertising ID) and technical device data so they can deliver and measure the ad. They do not receive your sessions, notes, account contents, or microphone audio. You can decline tracking on iPhone and keep using Shuli. On Android you can reset or delete the advertising ID in system settings.

9. What we do not do

We do not sell your data. We do not collect location, contacts, or screen content, and we do not diagnose or medically assess anyone.

10. Your rights

You can access (export), correct, and delete your data in the app. Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR), you may also object to processing or lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact us at shuli@bylishi.com.

11. Retention

Local data stays until you delete it or uninstall the app. Cloud data stays until you delete it or your account. AI usage counters are kept for operational purposes for up to 90 days.

12. Children

Shuli is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country).
